Liability

By accepting the terms of service you, hereby, acknowledge and agree the ultrasound services and imaging provided at Baby Steps Imaging are elective and solely for entertainment and viewing purposes. Any ultrasound sessions provided by Baby Steps Imaging are not diagnostic in nature and are not meant to serve as a replacement for standard medical care and treatment recommended by your physician or healthcare provider.
The undersigned acknowledges that she is under the care of a qualified physician regarding her pregnancy at the time of the ultrasound services and imaging and has undergone a medical diagnostic ultrasound exam prescribed by her physician.
Although the Baby Steps Imaging sonographer performing your elective ultrasound is registered and qualified to provide such ultrasounds, the undersigned understands that she is not qualified to interpret, diagnose or consult on any medical conditions or problems relating to the images produce, the health and well-being of the fetus(es) and the expectant mother's overall pregnancy. No fetal growth measurements or anatomical surveys will be performed or documented as part of the keepsake fetal portrait session. The undersigned agrees and acknowledges that no guarantee can be made regarding the quality of the images, as it varies depending on the position and gestational age of the fetus(es), as well as other factors such as placenta location, amount of amniotic fluid and expectant mother’s size and weight. The undersigned also acknowledges that factors beyond the control of the sonographer may affect the ability to accurately determine the gender of the fetus(es), and that Baby Steps Imaging can provide no warranty or guaranty as to the accuracy of any such determination. No refunds will be given for any reason.
Further, the undersigned acknowledges that there is inherent risk in any activity involving a fetus and there are potential risks in this type of activity. The undersigned understands that while ultrasounds are believed to have no harmful effects on the mother or fetus(es), future research or other information may disclose harmful or adverse effects that are presently unknown.
The undersigned understands that ultrasounds for fetal portraits provided by Baby Steps Imaging are not medically necessary and are not covered by any health insurance plan or flexible spending account. The full charge of your appointment will be paid prior to the exam.
The undersigned acknowledges that Baby Steps Imaging owns the rights to any photos, videos, or images produced during a Baby Steps Imaging ultrasound session and authorizes Baby Steps Imaging to use any photos, videos, or images produced during a Baby Steps Imaging ultrasound session for marketing purposes. (The identity of the party will be kept confidential.)
By accepting the terms of service, the undersigned agrees to hereby waive, release, acquit, hold harmless, and forever discharge Baby Steps Imaging, and its members, agents, and employees, from any and all claims, injuries, harms, expenses, demands, costs, causes of action, and other actions and liabilities, of any nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, whether in law or equity, that I or my baby may have arising out of or in any way related to my visit to Baby Steps Imaging. The undersigned agrees that he/she shall have no right whatsoever to file any lawsuit or institute any other action or legal proceedings of any type arising out of or in any way related to a visit to Baby Steps Imaging.

Rescans

If the sonographer deems beneficial, and you qualify by being in the recommended gestation for your session choice, the undersigned may be brought back for ONE rescan session at no charge. If at that time the position of the fetus(es) impedes on the quality of images, all further rescan sessions are at a cost of $40 per session. Rescan sessions vary in length from 5 to 15 minutes. As we provide a service, not a product, refunds will not be granted for any circumstances listed above, or for circumstances out of our control.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We understand things happen and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We ask for 48 hours notice. Please send notice of cancellation in an email to babystepsimaging@gmail.com. Late cancellation or failure to show for your session will result in your deposit not being refunded.

Late Arrival

Please ensure that your party arrives at the scheduled time. Minutes for late arrival cannot be made up. If you are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, your session will be re-booked for a later date. Initial $20 deposit will not be refunded. Rescheduled session will be charged full price, including a new $20 deposit fee.

Recording Policy

Please understand that if your package does not come with a recording, you/your guests may not record during the ultrasound. If anyone records on their phones without our permission, you will be charged a recording fee of $50 and the session will be ended immediately.
